Fundraising Ideas

We had a yard sale and we also went door to door selling Carl Jr's coupon books. We raised $2,358.50 and each student that helped earn $143.00 for Youth Convention. Praise God!

One of the best things to raise funds is to have your pastor show portions of the promotion DVD in the main service!  The last segment especially... when you hear the story of another changed life... the adults will get behind you!

This time of year is perfect for the all-time favorite Sees Candy fundraisers.  I always did really well with this one.

My favorite is a trash-a-thon... Several churches are doing one to raise their funds... No money out of pocket except to buy some trash bags... You raise your funds from outside the church...

The city here has events going on for the public, like the taco cook off, mexican independece, tree lighting ceremony for Christmas, etc... We contacted the coordinator of these events and was able to have a booth at these celebrations, at a small cost, and sell food and drinks to raise money. Also did a restaurant fundraiser, super easy, which doesn't require a whole lot of leg work. All i had to do was fill out paperwork and make flyers pretty much.

God Bless,
Pastor Lenard

We had a bake sale yesterday and sold our parking lot spaces for the streete fair. The bake sales are amazing, especially when you do it and dont put a price on the items and ask for donations!  We make 271.00 on the bake sale alone! On our way!!!

One of the easiest no brainer fund raisers:

Go to a Smart and Final (I believe other bulk grocery) stores carry them as well, and purchase the M & M Mini Tube candies (they have two sizes). They allow a quarter to fit perfectly in side. We hand them out to youth, parents, and friends of the church telling them the candy is a gift, but we ask them to return them within two-three weeks with as many quarters in them as possible. The Large M & M tubes hold $21; the small ones hold $11. We rose over $500 within a few days on the second go around, $900 on the first time hand out.

Many people would take them to work and ask co-workers to help-since it is for a student conference people were more than happy to surrender their change-though many people wrote a $21 check when they knew this was amount of quarters a large tube would hold.

Many of our families have multiple children so we do many fundraisers.  Our youth collected items from families in the church and we had a yard sale which totaled $900 and then we had a harvest carnival and they sold hot dogs, chips, nachos, etc.  We have been very excited about the amount of participation from our community and the kids themselves.  This next week we are having a youth dinner fundraiser and then we are auctioning off the kids.  Each kid is being auctioned to do 2 hours of work for the highest bidder....

Looking forward to convention,
Pastor Jennifer
